On September 6th-7th, as part of Water4All – Partnership project, we participated in the Hydropower Asia 2023 conference organised by Power Line Magazine, which took place in Hanoi, Vietnam. The focus of the conference was to present the plans and perspectives of countries for hydropower, including Laos (Ministry of Energy and Mine), Vietnam (Deloitte), Malaysia (Tenaga Nasional Berhad), Indonesia (PLN Indonesia Power) , the Philippines (Department of Energy Philippines), India (NHPC Limited) and Bangladesh (BANGLADESH POWER DEVELOPMENT BOARD). At this conference, we had the opportunity to showcase the Water4All – Partnership and present the possibilities for joint R&D projects with Asian countries.
In the following days of our mission to Vietnam we had the opportunity to meet with Ms. Bui Viet Hien from Department of Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction at UNDP, with whom we discussed current active water development programs managed by UNDP in Vietnam and Mekong River Basin. After our visit, Mr. Le Quang Tuan from Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation at Thuyloi University expressed his interest in collaboration with Water4All partnership in water R&D activites and presented priorities of Vietnam in these topics. On Tuesday, September 12, we joined the Delegation of Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic led by miniter Petr Hladík, and together with them we had an opportunity to present our partnership to Delegation of European Union to Vietnam and its ambassador Julien Guerrier. At the end of our mission we attendend the Business Forum on Czech Environmental Technologies organised by the Czech Chamber of Commerce.
