From March 13th to 15th, 2024, Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., the President of the Philippines, visited the Czech Republic accompanied by his wife. The purpose of the visit was to enhance Czech engagement in the Indo-Pacific region. The key topics discussed during the meetings included support for entrepreneurship and bilateral business. Potential areas of collaboration encompass agriculture, food industry, waste management, and water management.
During a ceremonial dinner and subsequent business forum, Mr. Břetislav Skácel, the cluster manager of CREA Hydro&Energy, z.s., and Assoc. Prof. Petr Kupec, the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology at Mendel University in Brno, participated.
